De+venires is a photography series that emerged during the creation of four paintings for an exhibition at the Stendhal Festival in Northern Ireland. The guiding principle was: “we become through what encounters us” — an idea rooted in Deleuze’s philosophical concept of devenir.
The fabrics were subjected to a month of exposure to diverse environmental forces, including sun, rain, wind, travel, boiling water, and more. Crafted with acrylics and natural pigments extracted from leaves and roots, they embodied a dynamic interaction with the elements. Yet, the true treasure that arose from this process was the photography.
