For an exhibition invitation in Northern Ireland, four fabrics were created based on the principle “we become through what encounters us.” An idea crafted in the philosophical concept Devenir by Deleuze.
These fabrics were subjected to a month of exposure to various environmental factors, including sun, rain, wind, travel, boiling water, among others. Crafted with acrylics and natural pigments derived from leaves and roots, the fabrics embodied a dynamic interaction with the elements. Displaying them at the gallery of the Stendhal Festivals provided a fun performative experience, enriching visitors of all ages with a profound connection to the transformative process.
“Just as these fabrics became through the processes they endured, so do we.”
